Eddie Sissons – Director of Public Policy

Eddie Sissons currently works as a consultant with Research Advisory Services. THe company works with community agencies providing analysis, evaluation, legislative monitoring and training. Among Eddie’s current clients are Mental Health America of Arizona, Arizona Alliance for Community Health Centers, and the Arizona Foundation for Behavioral Foundation. Ms. Sissons has worked in a variety of nonprofit and governmental settings where she has gained expertise in on policy issues ranging from welfare reform, child support, behavioral health, payday lending, and healthcare. Eddie has extensive experience with social-governmental-community policy settings in Arizona. She has a Master’s in Public Administration and a B.S. in Political Science summa cum laude from Arizona State University. She is a Certified Public Manager. She was selected by the YWCA Maricopa County as a recipient of the Health and Science Leader Award in 2012. In addition that year Eddie received a Community Advocacy Award from the Empowerment Systems, Inc., a nonprofit family of health education and wellness programs and participated in the 100th Arizona Town Hall on Civic Engagement. Ms. Sissons received the Legacy Award from the ASU’s Center for Applied Behavioral Health Policy in 2013.
