Pete Wertheim is the Vice President of Strategic Communications for the Arizona Hospital and Healthcare Association and President of the Arizona Public Health Association.   Previously he was the Government & Public Affairs Officer for IASIS Healthcare. He is a recent recipient of the American College of Physicians – Arizona Chapter 2010 Advocacy Award and the IASIS Healthcare Chairman’s Award for his work as an advocate.

Pete was also the senior lobbyist for the Arizona Department of Health Services working on public health, behavioral health and health care licensing policies where he received the AZ Council of Human Service Providers 2008 Advocate of the Year Award. Earlier in his career, he spent five years working at the Arizona House of Representatives as a research analyst and policy advisor on health, welfare and budget issues.
