Mary Ellen Cunningham – Vice president 

Mary Ellen Cunningham is the Principal at Cunningham Consulting, LLC. She formerly served as the Chief of the Bureau of Women’s & Children’s Health at the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) where she administered Arizona’s Title V/Maternal Child Health block grant and managed offices of injury, women’s health, children’s health, children with special health care need and oral
health. Additionally, Mary Ellen served as the ADHS Designee to Arizona’s Early Childhood Development and Health Board (First Things First), as the Region IX Association of Maternal Child Health Program (AMCHP) Director and on the US
Mexico Border Health Commission Reproductive Health Workgroup. She currently serves on the Arizona Perinatal Trust and Southwest Human Development Board of Directors and as the Vice President of the Arizona Public Health Association.
 
Ms. Cunningham is a Registered Nurse.  She was commissioned as a nurse in the United States Navy, and worked in a variety of health care settings ranging from a Cambodian Refugee camp in Thailand, to metropolitan intensive care
units, to the United Farmworkers’ clinic in Salinas, California.  Several years after graduating from nursing school Ms. Cunningham earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from American University in Washington, D.C. and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Arizona State University.
