Poster Session - April 26 - AzPHA Spring Conference

Call for Poster Abstracts

Arizona Public Health Association (AZPHA) is accepting abstracts for student and professional poster presentations at the 2017 Spring Conference at Sheraton Hotel in Downtown Phoenix, Arizona. We encourage abstracts in all areas of public health from all public health disciplines, including colleges/universities, health departments, and organizations offering services to Arizona communities. This is a great opportunity to showcase your work to Arizonan public health professionals from various backgrounds and institutions, and make connections with colleagues.

A poster session is a graphic presentation and a way to depict a public health program, research project, or community activity. Presentations may include images, charts, graphs, diagrams, and a small amount of text. Handouts are allowed, but are the presenter’s responsibility and should include the poster presentation title and presenter’s contact information.

Posters sessions will be offered on April 26th. Awards and cash prizes will be presented that day.
AZPHA membership is not required for abstract submission; however, if accepted, presenters will need to register for the conference and plan to attend. Student Members of AZPHA receive a discounted registration rate of $95. You may become a Student Member for $25. Nonmember rates are $150.

Abstracts must utilize the following format to be considered: Poster Presentation Title, Background, Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusion. In addition, the abstract must be 300 words or less and submitted to Lauren Savaglio at professionaldevelopment@azpha.org. Please put Abstract Submission in the subject line. Include the presenter’s name, contact information, and institution in the body of the email.

Submission Deadline: March 22 at 5:00pm (MST). If you have any questions, please contact Lauren Savaglio at professionaldevelopment@azpha.org.
